Golf

At you leasure While we're not going to organize a golf outing. The valley boasts some very nice courses. 4th of July weekend is a busy time so if you want to play we recommend booking a tee time in advance.

  • Bigwood: 9 hole course in Ketchum, closest thing to a muni but amazing views and very convenient.
  • Elkhorn: The oldest of Sun Valley's courses. Elkhorn is located 5min west of the lodge in the Elkhorn village. 18 challenging holes.
  • Trail Creek: Located in Sun Valley, Trail Creek is Sun Valley Resort's main course. 18 holes.
  • White Clouds: Starting out at the Sun Valley Club house, the White Clouds course is 9 holes along a ridge with amazing views of the valley.

Fishing

At you leasure The Wood River Valley is home to some of the best fly fishing in the country. The Big Wood River runs right through Ketchum and is a great place to start. There are access points all trough town and down past Hailey. For the more experienced (or ambitious) Silver Creek and Big Lost an easy day trip. If you are interested in fishing we recommend hiring a guide. They will provide all the gear and take you to the best spots.
